Hi All,
It has been a long time in getting an update on the website, but we have been busy.
The good news is that a lot of projects that were started are now coming to a close. We have naturally been focusing on our commercial work, and we are quite proud of the fact that our lenses have been accepted by the United States Coast Guard as of high enough quality to be placed in lighthouses who’s lights are still being used as private aids to navigation (These are maintained privately as opposed to USCG maintained lighthouses and are mostly museum lighthouses) but are still subject to the standards laid out by the Coast Guard.
As for the model kits, we have been quite busy there too. The USS Discovery from 2010 has had some tweaks done to it in light of new photos and documents coming to light at just the right time. While we had to redo a few items to take advantage of this new information, we have completed the work, so we should have the kit out soon.
A number of new ship kits are coming out soon as well, we will update you on that as soon as they are closer to completion.

We have posted new items on the different modeling forums, and will soon add the same here. They are not ready to order yet, so they are not in the store.
We are working on updates to the website, and will have pictures as soon as they are available.
thank you.

Admiralty Model Works is proud to announce a partnership with Artworks Florida (www. artworks-florida.com). The project is the restoration of historical Lighthouse Fresnel Lenses. AMW will be responsible for the molding and casting of the lenses which will be placed into the mechanisms to make the Fresnel Lenses, thereby allowing the lighthouses to illuminate. This is a major undertaking to restore different Lighthouses around the USA to working condition. For full historical details please visit the Artworks Florida website. Thank you, Pavel

It’s the start of a new year and 2009 should see a number of new trends from AMW.For right now, we are working hard to get the site finished and the two announced kits, Worcester and Repulse update set completed on time, end of January to early February, 2009. Thank you all for the patience you have shown, the research into the Repulse set was quite dramatic, we did have a lot of help from modelers and Royal Navy enthusiasts. As you have all noticed there are a lot of new plastic kits coming onto the market, both in 1/700 and 1/350. The announcement of these kits and the subjects has caused us to re-evaluate some of the subjects we are doing. We may also shuffle some of the announced kits around and do them in a different order. The good news is that a lot of the Resin Manufacturers are talking to each other to prevent duplication of subjects. Not all are willing to do this, but I think there is room for all of us. Once again I urge you to register on the site, so you will get news letters from us. This will allow you to stay current and get items as soon as they are released. Thank you

Shipping Once again I have some good news. It looks as if we have solved our module problems. Fed Ex shipping will come on line in the next few days, we are awaiting their activation number. USPS is next, we should be able to have that going soon too. That means you will have the choice of shipping. Please note that right now we have just a flat rate for the Continental USA. International customers will need to e-mail me and pay via Pay Pal for right now. This will change as soon as the USPS (United States Postal Service) module goes online.Thank you all for your patience and understanding. Repulse Update Set This is progressing well. I will have pictures soon. I just keep adding items as I go through the Tamiya kit, so the set will be quite comprehensive and detailed. Worcester/ Roanoke This kit is still on time for release in late January, 2009. It will contain parts to do either of the two in the class, with all the trimmings, Brass Barrels, Photo-Etch and Decals. I urge those of you who are waiting on items to register on the Admiralty web site. Those of you who are registered will be getting update e-mails, so as soon as an item is available, you will be notified. Thank you.
